Description
The Marriage of Hekate and Loki. Didn't turn out as well as I wanted. I wanted something I can't put into words and apparently in art either. The models I used as reference are a bit of a departure from this as I can assure you, I did not use a young Leonard Nimoy (Spock) as the model for Loki or Druscilla for Hekate. Loki's probably a part of that humor, lol. Why the handfasting of these Two?
That'll come later. It's part of my dream cycle and also behind my upcoming ritual. I have a lot of those and a lot of you know that. The green spectral skeleton seems to be a way for Hekate to communicate with me via dreams. He reminds me of Baron Semedi at times. Since they both dwell in the Underworld then it makes sense. Tried to capture spectral fire in this one too. This literally took days even with heavily referencing from photos the faces.

These are all completely digital paintings with textures, filters, brushes used in conjunction with the aid of a mouse and Wacom board. They are both simple and complex with varying amounts of time dedicated to each painting. I use only "Creative Commons Zero Attribute" references unless specified otherwise.
