The Earth is Not Flat

"The Earth is Not Flat" took 9.5 hours on Coral Painter/Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro 9 (Holy shit, Jasc?) I felt like doing an elephant piece since it's been forever and a day since I've done one like this. I got the idea from the news headlines about the Earth being flat. It's a statement about ego, perception and what reality and truth are in relation to the public view. You can sweep shit under a carpet, dress it up and straight-faced lie but you can not change the fact that momentum behind each action builds and will eventually topple over. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you can't help but go over the edge...

These are all completely digital paintings with textures, filters, brushes used in conjunction with the aid of a mouse and Wacom board. They are both simple and complex with varying amounts of time dedicated to each painting. I use only "Creative Commons Zero Attribute" references unless specified otherwise.
